Work with Me

I help platforms, teams, and founders turn raw ideas into resilient systems — and then survive the real world.

From LiveLeak’s early architecture to high-pressure moderation and public framing, I sit at the intersection of idea, system, and narrative.

What I actually do

My work sits across three connected areas:

1. Idea → System Translation

I help turn early-stage thinking into real operational structures: features, workflows, moderation systems, and platform behaviour.

This was a core part of building LiveLeak — not coding it, but designing how it functioned in practice: community systems, moderation architecture, and long-term direction.

2. Systems Under Real-World Pressure

Once systems exist, I help teams understand where design breaks under actual use. This includes moderation and community dynamics, internal operational structure, decision-making systems inside organisations, and platform behaviour at scale.

3. Narrative, Public, and Cultural Framing

I also work at the interface between systems and the outside world: press and media engagement, public speaking and debate, and cultural and political framing of platforms and technology.

What this really means

Most people are either idea people, operators, or communicators. My work has always been at the intersection of all three: originating direction, shaping systems, and dealing with how they exist in the real world.

Who I work with

I work with teams where at least one of these is true: an idea is becoming a real platform or product, user behaviour is starting to change the system in unexpected ways, moderation/trust/community structure is becoming complex, internal decision-making no longer matches reality, or external attention (press, public, scale) is now part of the system.

What I am NOT

To be clear, I am not a software engineer or developer, a marketing agency, a branding consultant, a growth hacker, or an execution-only product team. If you need someone to “build it,” I am not that person. If you need someone to help define what it becomes, how it behaves, and how it survives real-world use, then we should talk.

How I work

Engagements vary depending on stage: early-stage shaping of direction and system design, growth-stage diagnosis of breakdown points, or established systems needing stabilisation or redesign. Work is typically direct, focused, and grounded in real system observation.

Speaking & public work

I occasionally speak, advise, and participate in public discussions around platform design and behaviour, moderation and online systems at scale, and media, perception, and public narrative around technology. This includes museum talks, policy discussions, and high-pressure media engagement. It is not a separate career — it is an extension of the same work.

If you want to work together

Before reaching out, check this: you are working on something that already exists or is being built, it involves real users, real behaviour, or real systems, and you are dealing with complexity, not just ideas in isolation. If so, start here: Start a conversation.
